About Us
Nansemond Swim Club (NSC) is a seasonal outdoor community pool located in the historic neighborhood of Eclipse in Suffolk, Virginia, and we welcome new members. NSC is a private, members-only club that has been in continuous operation for over 50 years. During the summer operating season, NSC is open seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The pool offers both shallow and deep end swimming along with a diving board and a separate, gated toddler pool. One lap lane is reserved for lap swimmers at all times. Members can reserve one of the three picnic pavilions for birthday parties, cookouts or celebrations, and gas grills are available. Both group and private swimming lessons are offered annually.
NSC is also home to the Nansemond Sharks which is a summer swim league and competes against other community pools as part of the Western Tidewater Swimming Association.

Nansemond Sharks Swim Team
The Nansemond Sharks Swim Team is a summer league swim team designed for kids 18 and younger of all ability levels. Come and join us for a fast, fun and friendly race season during the summer months. We have a professional coaching staff that will help build confidence, technique and conditioning throughout the summer. Practices are fives days a week from late May through mid-July. Swim meets are generally on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Membership
Nansemond Swim Club is member-owned and volunteer operated. New members must purchase a membership certificate and pay yearly dues to be considered a member in good standing. Membership fees can be paid by check or through our online payment system.
Family
$525 per year annual dues

*PROVISIONAL MEMBERSHIP. Applicants have the option to pay their $440 initiation fee over the course of two summers. $220 this summer and $220 next summer. Once the membership fee of $440 is paid in full, applicant will be considered a full, voting member and will pay annual dues only.
Annual dues are pro-rated if application is received between June 30 - Labor Day. Membership fees and dues must be current to join swim team. Membership fees must be paid in full to receive a membership certificate and have voting privileges.
Please contact the Board before purchasing a transfer membership from an outgoing member so that we can verify that the membership is current. A $50 transfer fee will be applied to any transfer applications.
